Your Duties:

  • You support the development team in defining functions, architectures and requirements and in the validation and verification activities in the scope of the development cycle of the Unmanned Air System (UAS).
  • You will prepare and maintain a safety program plan, with regard to specific customer and/or regulatory requirements.
  • You will work closely with avionics, propulsion, structural, software, and flight control engineers to ensure safety requirements are established, validated and documented.
  • You will be responsible for the correct planning and conduct of all activities within the scope of the respective safety program plan.
  • You must be fully conversant and knowledgeable with all UAS systems, limitations and procedures outlined in respective product manuals and specifications.
  • You must be fully conversant and knowledgeable with all safety related customer and/or regulatory requirements associated with the respective UAS program.
  • Your daily tasks typically include the conduct of Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessment (PSSA), System Safety Assessment (SSA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Common Cause Analysis (CCA), within the scope of the safety assessment process.

Our Requirements:

  • You have extensive experience in conducting safety assessments in the aviation sector or an university degree in a relevant engineering discipline with professional experience in conducting safety assessments.
  • Thorough knowledge of ARP4761, Guidelines and Methods for conducting the Safety Assessment Process on Civil Airborne Systems and Equipment is desirable.
  • Work experience with the analysis tool Ansys Medini is desirable.
  • Knowledge of European UAS regulations is desirable.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and Excel is essential.
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English is required.
  • You are a good communicator and an excellent team player with hand-on attitude.
  • You have strong work ethics and team collaboration.
  • You are a highly organized person with excellent attention to detail.
  • You are reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines, while maintaining professional, optimistic and non confrontational attitude.

The annual gross salary is based on the applicable Collective Agreement of the Metal Industry for salaried employees. There is a willingness to overpay depending on your qualifications and work experience.
