The Schiebel Group is a globally operating high-tech company and market leader in the field of unmanned, 200 kg, helicopters (CAMCOPTER® S-100 and S-300) and mine detection systems. For us, it's not just about technology - it's about visions that take flight!
 
At Schiebel, we are increasing our global operational footprint and operations, therefore we are looking for highly motivated UAS Operators who are willing to travel for short and long-term deployments and reinforce our teams worldwide. Our highly qualified Training Team will ensure you are fully trained before deployment (training will take place in Austria/Wiener Neustadt for a duration of typically two weeks). This role is targeting licenced CAMCOPTER® S-100 Operators on a work contract-basis, with the option of short-term (3-6 month) or longer-term (12 month) contracts. 
 
Thereafter you will be deployed to different parts of the world (land and/or ship-based operations) on rotational basis (various options available) as a member of our Flight Operations Teams. 

Your Mission

  • Operate the CAMCOPTER® S-100 in support of our global flight operations and training activities 
  • Ensure all flight and ground operations follow established procedures and are conducted safely 
  • Conduct all necessary pre-flight and post-flight procedures, including ground station setup and removal 
  • Maintain situational awareness of the air vehicle's location, in-flight status, and threats to the aircraft from air and ground 
  • Constantly monitor weather on-site and along intended flight paths 
  • Continually re-evaluate risk assessments and take appropriate actions to mitigate any elevated risk levels 
  • Capture critical information for input into after-action reports and lessons learned 
  • Professional, accommodating behaviour, internally and externally  
  • Work in compliance with all system related and operations related regulations (Duty of Care) 
  • Proper usage of system documentation and creation of internal and external reports (Duty of Documentation) 
  • Participate in relevant meetings and conduct briefings on request 
  • Develop and facilitate continuous product and service improvements  

What you bring

  • Must be an EU citizen or have the unrestricted right to work in the EU/ Schengen Area e.g. work visa 
  • Have strong technical skills and knowledge preferably from previous experience in aviation 
  • S-100 Operator Qualification is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and written 
  • Proactive attitude and capable of working under minimal supervision
  • Must be willing to travel overseas for extended periods of time
