The Schiebel Group of companies is a world-wide high-tech electronic enterprise for Unmanned Air Systems (CAMCOPTER® S-100) and Mine Detection Systems.

Your Duties:

  • You will carry out structural analyses of mechanical components for a Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Air System (UAS).
  • You will develop and implement analytical methods for structural composite components.
  • In this position, you will also act as an interface to the composite design and production departments.
  • You will be responsible for performing, evaluation and supervision of experimental evaluation tests.
  • You will also create and review verification documents such as test specifications and test reports.
  • You will present the results of your analysis and experimental tasks to your superiors and team members.

Our Requirements:

  • You have a degree (university or technical college) in the field of aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering, lightweight design or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of numerical simulation and at least 3 years of experience in HyperWorks are mandatory (comparable software is possible).
  • You also have experience in structural analysis (metal and composite materials).
  • You have enhanced knowledge of composite materials and production methods.
  • Basic knowledge in data processing with DIADem (National Instruments) as well as design methodology in the aviation industry is an advantage.
  • You are a reliable, solution-orientated team player and work in a process-oriented, independent and systematic manner.
  • Fluent English as well as advanced German skills and good knowledge of MS Office programmes are required.

The annual gross salary is based on the applicable Collective Agreement of the Metal Trade for salaried employees. There is a willingness to overpay depending on your qualifications and work experience.
