The Schiebel Group of companies is a world-wide high-tech electronic enterprise for Unmanned Air Systems (CAMCOPTER® S-100) and Mine Detection Systems.

Your Duties:

  • In this position you will be responsible for the integration of new components and payloads (camera systems, radar, electronic reconnaissance systems, radio systems, ...) into the Schiebel CAMCOPTER® S-100.
  • You will perform feasibility analyses regarding the integrability of the individual components.
  • Prototype construction is also part of your task.
  • You define interfaces (mechanical, electrical, software) required for the integration of the payloads.
  • In addition, you develop mechanical and electronic components (brackets, receptacles, wiringharnesses, printed circuit boards, ...) and also manufacture them.
  • The commissioning of these prototypes is also part of your tasks.
  • In addition, you take over the planning, preparation, execution and documentation of functional tests.
  • You optimize existing integrations (mechanical, electrical).
  • You will also help with the technical documentation of your prototypes.

Our Requirements:

  • You have a completed technical education (HTL, FH or university) in the fields of mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical engineering or similar.
  • Hands-on mentality and manual work skills are a prerequisite.
  • Practical experience in the development of mechatronic systems is mandatory.
  • You also have CAD software skills (Autodesk Inventor is an advantage).
  • The confident handling of the usual office software packages (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, ...) is also a prerequisite.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English.
  • You also have a keen interest and enjoy working with complex systems (unmanned helicopter).
  • The ability to work in a team as well as independently completes your profile.
  • You are willing to perform international business trips (max. 10% of your working time).

The annual gross salary is based on the applicable Collective Agreement of the Metal Trade for salaried employees. There is a willingness to overpay depending on your qualifications and work experience.
