Your Responsibilities
At Schiebel, unmanned helicopters are created at the highest level because electronics, onboard wiring, and mechanics are not a side issue for us but the backbone of a system that is used worldwide. And these are your areas of responsibility:
- Cable Specification: Selection and definition of all cables for the unmanned helicopter and the ground station
- Wiring Harness: Construction, assembly, and clean implementation of the wiring harness from the plan to the installed system
- Interfaces: Determination of technical requirements and selection of suitable connectors between modules, assemblies, and PCBs
- Design: Creation of drawings, parts lists, and production documents in CAD
- Routing: Planning and coordination of cable routing in the 3D model together with mechanical design
- Integration: Practical installation and clean routing of the onboard wiring in CAMCOPTER® prototypes
- Validation: Support of standard-compliant measurements and tests of electrical connections (e.g., EMC, CE)
- Documentation: Contribution to the creation of technical documentation and maintenance of data in the ERP system
- Technology & Standards: Analysis of new technological developments and standards with a view to their practical application in the cable system for your personal development
What You Bring
Professional Requirements
- Education: Completed technical education (apprenticeship with Matura, HTL, FH, or equivalent; mechatronics, electronics, electrical engineering, mechanics)
- System Understanding: Very good technical understanding of electrical and mechatronic systems
- Work Style: Independent, structured approach with high personal responsibility, proven in several years of professional experience
- Communication: Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken, for technical documentation and professional coordination
Advantageous:
- Cable Assembly: Professional experience in the construction and manufacturing of complex wiring harnesses
- CAD Skills: Experience with CAD systems for defining, designing, and documenting cable systems
- Avionics Environment: Knowledge in the development environment of avionics or aviation
- Standards & Norms: Familiarity with relevant standards and their practical application in technical daily work
